Zee Avi covers Morrissey's classic "First Of The Gang To Die." This is an absolutely amazing cover that Zee Avi keeps simple but classy. The only instrument used is an acoustic guitar that accompanies Zee Avi's soft but soothing voice so well.
The guitar uses a picking pattern instead of being constantly strummed which gives it a spanish/flamencoesque style but at steady tempo. Because of the song's steady tempo it sounds a little like a lullaby as well. Which just puts the listener into this calming dream-like trance. It's definitely a cover song to sit back and lounge to.
